Pilot and Demonstration

Pilot och demonstration sits under the Swedish Energy Agency and funds the move from development work into real-world demonstration of new energy solutions in Sweden. It is aimed at companies and other Swedish actors that need support to prove that an energy product, service, production method, or system concept works at meaningful scale. The 2026 call carries a total budget of about 200 MSEK and sets a minimum eligible cost of 10 MSEK per project. Swedish companies of any size can apply for product, service, and production demonstrations, while system-level demonstrations are open to Swedish actors more broadly. Projects may start between 2026-10-01 and 2027-03-01 and must finish by 2030-12-31. This is a program for teams that already have enough technical maturity to run a large demonstration and document the result. The application frame favors projects with substantial budgets, a clear implementation plan, and a credible route from pilot evidence to wider deployment, rather than early idea-stage energy concepts.
