The 2026 call has about 30 MSEK in total budget and caps support at 3 MSEK per project. Applicants must be SMEs, may submit only one application per company, and startups are eligible. The eligibility window is narrow: projects should sit around TRL 4 to 7, run for up to 24 months, and start between 2026-08-15 and 2026-12-01. Co-financing is required, although some business-development activities can be funded at 100%. This is a good fit for companies that already have a defined customer context and need proof that the solution performs in practice. Proposals are strongest when the customer case is clear, the technical risk is bounded, and the team can show how the verification step will move the innovation closer to market adoption.
