Doctoral Programme Grant — Research on Crime
Funds national graduate school support for long-term criminal justice research.
A government-mandated program to build national scientific expertise in crime research through graduate schools. Swedish HEIs with third-cycle degree-awarding powers apply as organisations; the lead HEI must coordinate with at least one additional Swedish HEI. The graduate school must include a minimum of 9 employed doctoral students across all disciplines studying crime-related issues. Awards range from 1,000,000–10,500,000 SEK per year for a fixed 4-year term (January 2027 – December 2030). Total budget 84,000,000 SEK. Organisations are the applicants; a coordinator serves as project leader.
