Grant for Accessibility to Infrastructure

Funds infrastructure-enabled Swedish research projects using shared scientific platforms and national collaboration networks.

Research projects that require access to Sweden's strategic research infrastructures — SciLifeLab, MAX IV, ESS, and others — can apply for grants with a minimum of 400,000 SEK per year for 1–3 years. The 2026 call has a total budget of 60,000,000 SEK and expects to fund 6–8 projects (January 2027 start). Projects must collaborate with a research infrastructure AND a non-academic partner. Applications must address at least one of two subsidiary goals: increasing business/public sector participation in major infrastructures, or promoting Swedish participation in strategic international infrastructure development. Letters of support from both partners are mandatory.
