The Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) subsidises adoption of energy-efficient equipment across two tiers. The Base Tier (expanded to all sectors from 7 April 2026 per Budget 2026) offers up to 70% support for SMEs / 30% for non-SMEs on pre-approved equipment, capped at S$30,000, through 31 March 2027. The Advanced Tier is limited to Construction and Manufacturing (including Food Manufacturing), supports non-pre-approved equipment meeting ≥350t lifetime carbon abatement, and offers a combined cap of S$350,000 with tiered support rates based on lifetime energy savings. All applicants must be registered and operating in Singapore with equipment used in Singapore; no procurement may commence before the grant application is approved. The 30% local shareholding requirement is waived for data centre users. Group annual sales turnover must not exceed S$500 million. Applications submitted via Business Grants Portal with quotations, product brochures, tenancy agreements, utility bills, and financial statements.
