Enterprise Singapore is Singapore's statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. It supports SMEs and startups that are building capabilities in Singapore and expanding into overseas markets. The current portfolio is a practical mix of grants, equity, in-kind support, and endorsement services, and the 2026 budget set aside S$1 billion for deep-tech equity investments.

Current routes include Startup SG Founder, Startup SG Tech, Startup SG Equity, Startup SG Infrastructure, Enterprise Development Grant, Market Readiness Assistance, Productivity Solutions Grant, Energy Efficiency Grant, and Business Adaptation Grant. Award sizes in the record range from S$30,000 for the Productivity Solutions Grant and S$50,000 for Startup SG Founder to S$100,000 for Market Readiness Assistance and Business Adaptation, S$350,000 for the Energy Efficiency Grant, and S$500,000 for Startup SG Tech. Startup SG Talent and infrastructure support sit alongside those capital routes as talent and ecosystem services rather than cash awards.

The agency's centre of gravity is operational support rather than open-ended capital: Singapore-registered businesses, local equity thresholds, and in-country activity shape much of the eligibility, while pre-approved solutions, market-entry work, and productivity upgrades anchor the more mature grants. From 2H 2026, EDGE will streamline Market Readiness Assistance, Productivity Solutions Grant, and Enterprise Development Grant into one scheme with a S$100,000 annual cap, while Startup SG Equity continues to channel state backing into early- and growth-stage deep tech.
