Frontier Innovation Track

Frontier's Innovation Track supports the earliest-stage carbon removal companies that need capital to advance critical research or begin initial deployment. Two funding instruments: R&D grants ($250K–$750K, ~18-month research scope) and prepurchases ($250K–$1.5M). Applications accepted on a rolling basis; Frontier announces selections twice per year. Four priority areas in 2026: surficial mineralization, ocean/inland water alkalinity enhancement, MRV toolkit development, and novel CDR approaches. Out-of-scope: afforestation, reforestation, biochar, coastal restoration, and organic soil carbon.
