NSTDA Research Chair Grant
Supports Flagship grants to senior scientists leading high-impact research with societal and economic benefit.
The NSTDA Research Chair Grant is NSTDA's flagship research support instrument, initiated in 2009 to fund high-quality projects with measurable social and economic impact. Awards reach up to THB 20 million over a 5-year project period. Priority is given to senior scientist-led teams that also mentor junior researchers including university students. Approximately 15 grants have been awarded historically. Past recipients cover fields such as rice breeding genomics, malaria drug-target discovery, and microbiology. Application forms, selection principles, and progress/final-report templates are published on the NSTDA ResearchChairGrant portal, primarily in Thai.
