Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program

Pays Taiwanese SMEs government grants of up to roughly US$375,000 across three phases to research, develop and commercialise new technologies, services or products.

Funding runs through three stages: a Phase 1 pilot study or preliminary plan, a Phase 2 full R&D or detailed plan, and an optional Phase 2+ stage for turning R&D results into market-ready products. Each stage is a separate government grant with its own ceiling and duration, and an enterprise applies to whichever phase matches where its project stands.

Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
