Parkinson's UK Grants for Non-Drug Approaches
Supports Non-pharmacological research grants improving quality of life for people with Parkinson's.
The Non-Drug Approaches scheme funds creative, innovative research into non-pharmacological ways to help people live better with Parkinson's. Eligible topics include speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, mental health management, lifestyle interventions (exercise, dance, nutrition), aids and devices, and complementary therapies. Applications focused on improving healthcare services delivery are explicitly excluded. The 2026 round preproposal window closed 5 May 2026; invited applicants have until 3 September 2026 to submit full applications. Applications are reviewed by three independent scientific experts from the College of Experts plus lay reviewers. 2025 cohort: 2 projects funded from 19 preproposals (10.5% overall success rate).
