The Caltech Seed Fund

The Caltech Seed Fund (CSF) is an internal venture fund deploying ~$1.5M/year as SAFE equity investments of $100–500K into Caltech/JPL spinout companies. It makes 4–6 investments per year targeting companies that can secure a priced round within 12–18 months. Co-investment partner Wilson Hill Ventures (WHF) participates in a significant number of deals. NOT A GRANT — equity_not_grant flag required. Eligibility restricted to companies based on Caltech or JPL (Caltech-managed) technology. No follow-on investing beyond initial SAFE.
