IBD Ventures
Funds product-development initiatives tackling quality-of-life outcomes for inflammatory bowel disease.
IBD Ventures is the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation's product-development arm for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It backs therapies, diagnostics, and other products meant to improve quality of life for people living with IBD, and it is one of the Foundation's few routes open to both companies and academic investigators. Projects can receive up to $500,000 per year, and funded teams also get accelerator resources and advising. The route uses a separate proposalCENTRAL portal from the Foundation's investigator-initiated grants, runs on an annual cycle, and is structured as a grant rather than an equity investment. That makes the program most useful for teams with a real product-development plan rather than a loose discovery idea. It sits alongside related Foundation efforts such as IBD Innovate and the Fibrostenosis-Focused Therapies RFP, so applicants need a clear translational path from concept, through validation, and toward a product that can matter for patients. A strong proposal shows why the Foundation should de-risk the work now.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
