The CRF Postdoctoral Research Fellowship is Cystinosis Research Foundation's early-career route for scientists entering cystinosis research. It was established in 2006, follows the same spring-and-fall cadence as the research grant, and shares the foundation's roughly $2 million annual pool for research and fellowship awards. The public record does not separate out a fellowship stipend range, but it does identify the program as open to postdoctoral researchers and other individual applicants working in the cystinosis field. Applicants submit a Fellowship Proposal Cover Sheet, and the same Scientific Review Board reviews fellowship proposals alongside research grants. The foundation has funded postdoctoral and institutional work across 13 countries, which keeps the route international rather than local. The fellowship is best for trainees whose project fits the foundation's mission and can be advanced over one to two years under regular reporting. Global applications are accepted, and the same disease-specific bar applies: the work has to move cystinosis treatment or cure research forward. Payments are tied to regular progress reports and a final report, which keeps the fellowship anchored to clear milestones.
