ClimateTech Fund
Invests in climate-tech companies from seed through Series C across mitigation, adaptation, and clean energy.
Connecticut Innovations' ClimateTech Fund is a $100 million equity vehicle for climate-tech companies, with the record placing it from seed through Series B and Series C. It sits inside Connecticut Innovations and is built for businesses that can pair climate impact with commercial scale. The fund invests through priced equity rounds, convertible notes, or SAFEs, with commitments in the range of $150,000 to $2 million. Co-investment is part of the model: Connecticut Innovations aims to provide no more than one-third of a syndicated round. The eligible themes include climate mitigation, adaptation, environmental protection, clean energy, circular economy, food and agriculture, mobility, and water. The strongest applicants will already look syndication-ready, with a credible lead investor and a business that can absorb capital into growth. Strong intellectual property is strongly preferred, and the fund is most relevant where climate impact, technical depth, and a scalable financing round line up. That usually means a company that can support a syndicate and keep moving.
