Datadog for Open Source Projects provides complimentary, full-platform Datadog access to qualifying open-source communities at no cost. Recipients include major projects such as the Apache Software Foundation (first recipient, since 2016), the Python Software Foundation, ElectronJS, and Ruby. To qualify, a project must hold an approved open-source license, be at least one year old, have at least five regular contributors, and be led by at least two maintainers from different companies. Usage must directly support the project's infrastructure; Datadog may cap the number of hosts or telemetry events for very large projects. Applications are evaluated individually, with no set cycle dates.
