OSD ManTech — Defense Manufacturing Technology Program
Helps OSD ManTech Defense Manufacturing Technology Program for DoD advanced manufacturing scientific advancement delivered.
OSD ManTech is the Office of the Secretary of Defense Manufacturing Technology office within OUSD(R&E), where it coordinates advanced manufacturing work for national security. It is not a direct grant maker. Its role is to connect manufacturing priorities with joint, interagency, and public-private delivery channels that can move work into practice. The office spans the Department's major technology priorities, including advanced materials, trusted AI and autonomy, microelectronics, space technology, renewable energy, advanced computing and software, human-machine interfaces, directed energy, hypersonics, integrated sensing and cyber, biotechnology, and quantum science. Funding reaches performers through Manufacturing Innovation Institutes such as America Makes, AIM Photonics, BioMADE, NextFlex, ARM, LIFT, MxD, and BioFabUSA, along with Service ManTech offices and the Manufacturing Science and Technology Program. That structure makes OSD ManTech a partner-led route rather than a direct solicitation channel. Teams fit best when they already sit inside a manufacturing problem with a defense use case and a sponsor willing to carry the work through an institute or service office. The value of the office is coordination, not stand-alone award making, so success usually depends on alignment with an existing manufacturing ecosystem.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
