GrowKS Loan Fund
Funds SSBCI-funded loans matching private capital for Kansas small businesses.
GrowKS Loan Fund is the lending arm of Kansas's GrowKS SSBCI package, run by the Kansas Department of Commerce with NetWork Kansas. The program sits inside Kansas's roughly $69 million SSBCI 2.0 allocation and is designed to put matched capital into small businesses across the state. The fund uses loans rather than grants, and private capital must come from a financial institution such as a bank or CDFI. Awards can reach $1 million per business, with the state side matching private investment. Access runs through a NetWork Kansas-approved resource partner, which keeps the loan tied to local technical assistance and screening. The strongest fit is a Kansas small business that already has a lender or investor in place and needs public co-financing to close a growth round. Priority goes to rural firms, businesses in urban-distressed areas, and minority-, women-, or economically disadvantaged owners. It is a practical financing route for companies that are already investment-ready rather than early ideas.
