Lockheed Martin Ventures is Lockheed Martin's corporate venture capital arm, launched in 2007. The fund was raised to $1 billion in 2026, and it has backed more than 120 companies while building one of the longest-running CVC platforms in aerospace and defense. It makes equity investments only. Checks run from about $500,000 to $50 million, with a median near $5 million, for for-profit companies aligned with defense, space, cyber, AI, autonomy, quantum computing, directed energy, microelectronics, and advanced materials. The route is rolling and open to companies at roughly TRL 3-9. The strategic value goes beyond cash. Lockheed Martin says portfolio companies can tap engineering, facilities, and supply-chain relationships, and many companies have gone on to supply the business and earn contracts. The platform has also turned portfolio relationships into supplier links and contract work over time. Companies with dual-use depth, credible technical milestones, and a defense-facing use case are the cleanest fit.
