The FinTech Challenge Program is an annual 4-month equity-free cohort based in Boston, connecting scaling fintech startups with leading US financial institutions. Corporate challenge-holders for 2026 include Citizens Financial Group (GenAI, agentic banking, planetary risk), DCU (stablecoin payments, AI fraud), Massachusetts Bankers Association (deposit growth, workforce), MassMutual (AI/digital enablement, fraud), and The Hartford (next-gen distribution, risk assessment). Accepted companies attend four mandatory in-person Boston sessions (matchmaking Jan 13–14, orientation, mid-program, finale) plus bi-weekly virtual check-ins. No equity is taken. The application window runs Oct–Oct; the 2026 cycle deadline was October 14, 2025. FY2027 cycle expected fall 2026.
