Verizon Community Disaster Resilience Innovation Accelerator
Funds disaster resilience innovators in the United States through accelerator rewards and prototyping support.
The Verizon Community Disaster Resilience Innovation Accelerator is a corporate-co-funded MassChallenge program targeting US startups with technology solutions for disaster resilience. Up to 8 finalist startups each receive $50,000 in non-dilutive funding; up to 2 startups receive an additional $50,000 in prototyping grants for third-party lab testing — a total prize pool of $500,000+. Challenge areas span seven technology domains: AI analytics, communication infrastructure, drones/autonomous systems, power generation, satellites, sensors, and weather prediction. Solutions must demonstrate compatibility with Verizon 5G capabilities. Only US-owned and US-operated entities are eligible. The 2026 application window ran January 21 – February 11, 2026.
