Maine Entrepreneurial Resource Corps (MERC)

MERC subsidizes short-term (≤3 month) consulting projects for eligible Maine businesses. MTI covers 50% of project fees up to $15,000 per year and $30,000 lifetime per business. Qualifying services include marketing, financial planning, legal, custom software development, and other business support, plus free AI training via Coursera. Applicants must have annual revenue under $5M, operate in Maine within one of MTI's seven target sectors, demonstrate organizational innovation, and show Maine economic impact. Delivery is via vetted third-party consultants approved by MTI.
