Trade Delegations & Matchmaking

Trade Delegations & Matchmaking is Michigan-Israel Business Accelerator's cross-border business service for companies in Michigan and Israel. MIBA uses it to connect firms on both sides of the corridor through curated delegations and direct introductions rather than a cash award. The service has run since 2018, and more than 150 Michigan delegates have taken part in Israel visits. The offer is practical and in kind: B2B and B2G meetings, delegation planning, and matchmaking between firms, public agencies, and prospective partners. It is open to for-profit companies as well as nonprofits, universities, research organizations, and individuals, and it operates in the US and Israel. There is no grant amount because no money changes hands. The strongest fit is a company that needs market access, partner discovery, or an initial serious entry point into the other country. Applicants do best when they can present a clear business case for meetings, a specific sector or technology story, and readiness to travel or engage remotely. The program is active and runs throughout the year, so timing is usually driven by the business opportunity rather than a fixed competition.
