MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition
Offers annual challenges for MIT-affiliated entrepreneurs with non-dilutive awards for early ideas.
Founded in 1989, the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition is a student-led annual competition organized at MIT Sloan. It runs three independent contests per year: Pitch (September, $5K grand prize + $2K audience choice), Accelerate (March, $10K grand prize), and Launch (May, $100K grand prize). Total annual non-dilutive prize pool exceeds $300K. The competition is non-dilutive — MIT and the organizers do not take equity. Operationally student-run and sponsor-funded, it is distinct from the Martin Trust Center programs. MIT affiliation is required on the team (including Greater Boston community via mixed teams).
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
