NavalX Tech Bridges
Helps NavalX Tech Bridges for A network of regional partnership hubs connecting startups and researchers to Naval customers.
NavalX Tech Bridges sits inside the Naval Agility Office within ONR and acts as a regional coordination layer for innovation rather than as a direct grant program. The network connects startups and researchers to Naval customers through more than 18 regional partnership hubs, giving the Navy a distributed presence outside Washington and creating a path into SBIR and STTR conversations. The record says the Tech Bridges do not issue grants directly. Their role is to facilitate SBIR and STTR pathways, connect companies to Navy customers, and host workshops, while also pointing to rapid-funding opportunities tied to areas such as autonomy, AI, microelectronics, and command and control networks. That makes the program more of a bridge into Navy engagement than a stand-alone funding competition. The best fit is an early or growth-stage team that needs access to the right Navy contact, a local partner network, or a clearer path into a future proposal. Because the program is rolling and support is relationship-driven, applicants usually benefit most when they already have a technology with obvious naval relevance and a reason to engage a specific regional bridge.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
