SCALE Capital (Supporting Chip Advancement from Lab to Enterprise) funded the purchase of cutting-edge microelectronics capital equipment by Massachusetts-based institutions. The program targeted ecosystem development (equipment for community use), workforce development (educational equipment), and technology development (early-stage concept advancement). Round 1 distributed $10.17M across 10 organizations, including MIT Lincoln Laboratory ($3.9M), Bridgewater State University ($1.1M), and Harvard Center for Nanoscale Systems ($2M). Awards ranged from $202K to $3.9M. The program is state-funded by the Healey-Driscoll Administration and administered by NEMC Hub.
