IDC Green Tourism Incentive Programme (GTIP)
Funds Non-repayable grant covering of energy and water-efficiency upgrade costs for South African tourism small and medium-sized enterprises.
GTIP provides non-repayable grants to privately-owned South African tourism SMEs and micro-enterprises (B-BBEE EME/QSE) to install energy efficiency, water conservation, and renewable energy solutions. The grant covers 50–90% of the total solution cost on a sliding scale, up to a maximum of R1 million per applicant. The programme runs in two phases: Phase 1 funds a resource efficiency audit; Phase 2 funds the implementation of the recommended solutions. Application email: gtipapplications@idc.co.za.
