EIT Urban Mobility is a European Union knowledge and innovation community under the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, founded in 2019 and based in Barcelona. It is built to accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility by linking cities, companies, universities and investors to markets, talent, funding and knowledge.

Its public funding routes are grant-based and focus on urban mobility startups, scaleups and consortia. Key grant routes are EIT Urban Mobility Innovation Programmes, Financial Support to Startups (Accelerate2Move), Strategic Innovation Open Call, RAPTOR Open Call and the SME Market Expansion Call, with awards reaching up to €750,000 on the main programme and up to €30,000 for startup support. Eligibility varies by call, but the audience runs from European startups to universities and delivery partners.

The organisation works through five hubs in Amsterdam, Munich, Copenhagen, Barcelona and Prague, backed by a wider partner network across 33 countries. That structure gives it a practical role in market testing, education and scaling, and makes it strongest for applicants working on transport, climate and built-environment problems that can move quickly from pilot to market.
