Mubadala Investment Company is Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund, wholly owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi. It manages about USD 385 billion across more than 80 countries and deploys commercial capital through equity and credit rather than grants. Its sector exposure runs through healthcare, technology, energy, financial services, semiconductors, space, biotechnology, advanced materials, and medical technology.

It identifies two equity vehicles: UAE Mubadala Investment Strategic / Energy / Tech Capital and the Mubadala Private Equity Platform. The first has a deployment ceiling of USD 1 billion in the data, while the second is a broader private-equity platform. Neither route is structured as a public grant program or open non-dilutive competition.

For founders and operators, Mubadala is a strategic investor with balance-sheet scale, not a philanthropic funder. It fits companies that can absorb commercial diligence, strategic ownership, and sector-level partnership, while early-stage Abu Dhabi ecosystem support sits elsewhere, notably Hub71.
