SGInnovate is a Singapore sovereign investment fund and wholly owned NRF subsidiary under MTI and Smart Nation. It backs early-stage deep-tech startups through equity investment and talent development rather than grants.

Its core investment focus covers AI, autonomous mobility, biotech, medtech, cleantech, quantum, materials, robotics, agritech, transport, cyber hardware, and IoT edge. The named programs are Deep Tech Investments, the Helix Immersion Programme, and Deep Tech Central talent co-funding; Helix can co-fund training costs up to 70%, with a maximum award of SGD 84,000. The talent line also includes Summation and PowerX, which can co-fund individual training costs by up to 70 percent.

SGInnovate is most useful for technical founders who need strategic capital and talent access alongside financing. Deep Tech Central gives it a broad community layer with more than 190,000 members, so the practical fit is strongest for teams that can use introductions, hiring support, and ecosystem reach together with capital.
