UN FAO World Food Forum Startup Innovation Awards

Recognizes agrifood startups across four themes, with XTC layering a special AI award on top of the UN's global awards.

Startups apply online through the MassChallenge platform before the deadline; XTC, which has partnered with the UN FAO World Food Forum since 2001, layers its own AI-themed award onto the broader competition judged by the World Food Forum. Full award details, prize structure and selection process are published on the separate UN FAO WFF SIA website rather than on XTC's own announcement.

The UN FAO World Food Forum Startup Innovation Awards judge startups across four themes: digital innovation in food processing, fighting malnutrition and food insecurity, climate resilience and water security in agrifood systems, and empowering women in agrifood systems. This edition adds a special XTC 'Excellence in Applied AI' award open to entrants from any of those four categories.
