Awards at least $7,500 per category, plus a $10,000 bonus for the top agrifood startup.

Beyond the four category prizes and the Startup of the Year bonus, there's a fifth award: Extreme Tech Challenge's ‘Excellence in Applied AI’ special prize, recognizing innovative use of applied intelligence across any of the four 2026 categories. Its winner doesn't get cash but instead gets folded into XTC's own global ecosystem of investors and corporate innovation teams, publicity through XTC's

Looking for youth-led startups using technology to transform agrifood systems, end hunger, and advance the Sustainable Development Goals, across four 2026 categories: digital food processing, malnutrition and food security, climate and water resilience, and empowering women in agrifood systems. A global platform open to young entrepreneurs anywhere.
