The Subsidie voor Digitale Internationale Commerciële Bedrijfscommunicatie is a rolling flat-rate grant from Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) that helps Flemish SMEs and business organizations fund the external development of multilingual digital communications for international export markets. The grant pays a fixed forfait of €3,000 for standard applicants or €4,500 for first-time or infrequent applicants with fewer than four approved FIT subsidy applications since 1 September 2005. Only costs invoiced by external specialists qualify; in-house development work does not count toward reimbursement. Covered activities include multilingual websites and webshops, multilingual corporate films, and multilingual social media content created by external providers. Excluded from the program are Dutch-only content, printed brochures, technical documentation, and any communications developed internally without an external invoice. Recipients must display the official FIT sponsorship attribution and logo on the funded website or materials after project completion. Applications are submitted on a rolling basis through the MyFIT portal at least 7 days before the external development work begins; FIT aims to decide within 60 days of a complete submission. Proof of project completion must be submitted within 6 months of approval to trigger final payment. Applicants must demonstrate prior export experience, hold EU SME status, operate in Flanders, and receive no other government funding for the same activity. The program is administered year-round by FIT's SubsidieDesk (SubsidieDesk@fitagency.be, +32 2 504 88 64) with no annual call cycle, making it accessible to companies at any point in their export digitization journey.
