The ERC Consolidator Grant is a European Research Council award for researchers who are ready to build their own independent research team in Europe, sitting alongside the ERC's other career-stage grants (Starting, Advanced, Synergy and Proof of Concept). The ERC runs on a single test, the quality and originality of the proposed science, and sets no themes or industry priorities in advance.
