Each of the three or four funded pilots must target legislation with compliance metrics that can be assessed automatically through data analytics, and must avoid duplicating ongoing initiatives such as the Digital Product Passport or the EU's customs reform. …
The call funds pilots that automate regulatory reporting by combining data capture, APIs, machine learning and the future EU Digital Identity Wallet, so businesses can transmit compliance data to regulators with minimal manual work. Sectors named as likely pilot areas include agriculture, environment, manufacturing, healthcare and energy. Each pilot must be open source, interoperable with existing government systems, and scalable to large data volumes.
