The Commission wants work that follows on from earlier EDF tank programmes and pushes main battle tank capability forward across protection, mobility and firepower. It's looking for higher multi-spectrum protection, all-terrain mobility, longer-range threat detection, better command-and-control, reduced-crew or eventually unmanned operation, and more affordable manufacturing.
