Energetic components

Pays EU defence manufacturers to expand production capacity for propellants, explosives, warheads and other energetic munitions components.

This is a single-stage EDF Lump Sum Grant with a call budget of €166.4 million; the maximum EU contribution per project is €30 million (plus up to €500,000 for the optional security work package), and a project must have a minimum financial size of €2 million. Consortia can have up to 15 legal entities, and the funded action runs for an indicative three to five years.

This call funds industrial reinforcement projects that increase EU production capacity for energetic defence components — propellant powder, explosives, propulsion systems, warheads and fuzes, filling plants, and access to the raw materials behind them. It targets bottlenecks feeding rockets, missiles, artillery and small-calibre ammunition production across land, air, naval and underwater defence programmes. Projects may add an optional work package to harden production sites against physical and cyber threats, including drones.
