Key electronic components
Pays European manufacturers to expand production capacity for the electronic components that bottleneck drone, missile and defence-electronics supply chains.
Key electronic components is a single-stage EDIP Lump Sum call that funds industrial reinforcement actions targeting EU production capacity for the electronic components behind drones, missiles, precision-guided munitions, C2 and C4ISR/EW systems — guidance and propulsion electronics, RF and laser modules, multispectral cameras, avionics, PCBs, batteries and critical semiconductor building blocks.…
The European Commission wants industrial reinforcement actions that grow EU production capacity for key electronic components used in defence products — guidance and propulsion electronics, RF and laser modules, multispectral cameras, avionics, PCBs, batteries and critical semiconductor building blocks — across land, air, naval and underwater systems. It's after tangible capacity increases, more resilient and geographically distributed supply, faster lead times and a trained workforce to run the reinforced production lines, with an optional module to physically and cyber-protect the production sites themselves.
