Volunteering in support of humanitarian aid operations

Pays organisations to place young volunteers aged 18-35 in humanitarian aid operations in non-EU countries.

This is a European Solidarity Corps Unit Grant, calculated per volunteer placement using the programme's own ESC Humanitarian Aid calculator rather than paid as a single lump sum for the whole project. Placements run full-time, unpaid, for between thirty and thirty-eight hours a week, and organisations must already hold the ESC Participant Quality Label to take part in this action. Funded projects

This call funds organisations that place young people aged 18 to 35 in short- or long-term volunteering roles supporting humanitarian aid operations in third countries. It wants projects that strengthen the resilience of disaster-affected communities, reinforce disaster preparedness, and link relief work to longer-term development, while keeping volunteers safe and following humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence.
