SMP-STAND-2026-ESOS-01-IBA is an action grant under the Standardisation strand of the EU Single Market Programme, managed by EISMEA. The call was published on 24 April 2026 and carries a total budget of EUR 7,332,077 distributed across 17 distinct standardisation topics. Topic areas span quantum technologies, AI data quality, digital product passports, packaging waste regulation compliance, and critical infrastructure standards, reflecting the EU's current legislative and industrial policy priorities.
This call is exclusively restricted to the three European Standardisation Organisations: CEN (European Committee for Standardization), CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization), and ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute). Each organization may apply only for topics within its area of technical competence. No other entity type — including companies, startups, universities, research institutes, or government bodies — is eligible to apply as a lead or partner. The call is therefore not relevant to private-sector applicants or academic consortia.
The single-stage deadline is 23 June 2026 at 17:00 CEST. Applications are submitted through the EU Funding and Tenders Portal. Each of the three standardisation bodies should assess the 17 topics against its own work program and submit applications covering the subset of topics within its designated scope. The EUR 7.3 million budget will be allocated across the funded topics and organizations following evaluation; individual topic award sizes are not published on the EISMEA program page.
Standardisation activities across 17 topics including quantum technologies, AI data quality, digital product passports, packaging waste regulation, and critical infrastructure standards, exclusively for CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI.
