European Prize for Humanitarian Innovation (InnovAid)

Awarded EUR 250,000 to the humanitarian organisation, social enterprise or company with the most effective technology for delivering aid to vulnerable people.

Judges score against four named criteria. Innovation looks at whether the solution has been tested successfully and safely in a real humanitarian setting at meaningful scale, and whether it could adapt to different humanitarian contexts while responding to the needs of the most vulnerable, considering age, gender, disability and minority status. Quality and sustainability weighs the solution's use…

The prize looks for humanitarian organisations, social enterprises and companies developing technology that helps deliver aid to people affected by natural hazards and man-made crises such as conflict. It rewards solutions that are cost-effective, simple to reuse and scalable across different humanitarian settings, judged on innovation, quality, affordability and engagement with the people they serve.
