Improving Socio-Economic Outcomes for Persons with Dementia
Funds person-centred interventions that improve life, care, inclusion and economic resilience for people with dementia and informal caregivers.
Dementia affects people’s autonomy, wellbeing and economic life, while unpaid care falls disproportionately on women and can damage caregivers’ mental health, employment and financial resilience. This two-stage Research and Innovation Action prioritises scaling and contextualising interventions that have already shown promise rather than entirely untested solutions.

Scale and contextualise proven interventions that improve social, mental and socio-economic outcomes for people with dementia and reduce the emotional, financial and physical burden on informal caregivers. Strengthen coordination across health, long-term care, social services and communities; assess cost-effectiveness and sustainability; address gendered caregiving, inequality, vulnerable groups and long-term integration into care and policy systems.
