Maturing one critical space electronic component — a radiation-hard FPGA built on a 7nm process — up to TRL 6, and building a long-term supply chain for it that does not depend on non-EU sources. The exact technical target is set out in a separate Technical Guidance Document, not in the topic text itself. The supply chain should be built as fully as possible inside the EU; any part sourced from outside needs the granting authority's approval and still has to stay free of non-EU export control. The project also has to prove the end product carries no legal export restrictions, map the full supply chain and its dependencies, and deliver an industrial and commercialisation roadmap — all within the first six months.
