Advanced Manufacturing for Strategic Products
Funds six €6–8M projects that make strategic European products with less critical material, energy and imported-input dependence.
Europe risks losing production of important, high-performance components when manufacturing technologies, machinery or material inputs depend heavily on supply from outside Europe. This topic funds advanced manufacturing projects that keep strategic production competitive and resilient in Europe.
Projects can develop additive or hybrid manufacturing, photonics, advanced joining, polymer-composite…
An Innovation Action for advanced manufacturing technologies and machinery that produce strategically important, high-performance components and products in Europe. Projects should improve manufacturing excellence, circularity, resource efficiency and resilience by using less critical or imported material, more secondary, biobased or revalorised inputs, and—where useful—innovative advanced materials. Eligible approaches include additive and hybrid manufacturing, photonics, advanced joining, polymer composites, lightweight components, surface treatment and in-line testing, with activities starting at TRL 5 and reaching TRL 7.
