Critical Space EEE Components for EU Independence
Funds one €250–300k research project to rebuild secure European supply chains for critical space electronics and components.
European space missions need reliable access to critical electrical, electronic and electromechanical components, but some high-performance parts still come from outside the EU and may be exposed to export controls or uncertain supply chains. This topic funds development projects that rebuild the capabilities and supply chains needed for EU space non-dependence.

A Research and Innovation Action to mature critical space electrical, electronic and electromechanical components and related technologies, reducing dependence on non-EU sources and export-controlled supply chains. Projects should develop products or processes with equivalent or superior performance, establish a long-term sustainable and trustable supply chain, and identify where EU capabilities or reliable non-EU services are unavoidable. Work should reach TRL 6, involve space and non-space industry, use EU building blocks where possible, and complement national and European Space Agency activities.
