Funds one €5M coordination action to turn the EU CO2 transport and storage policy framework into workable rules, markets and investment pathways.
Capturing and storing CO2 will require infrastructure that crosses industrial sites, transport modes and national borders. The EU policy framework needs practical implementation support so that regulators, network stakeholders, investors and infrastructure users can work from compatible rules and credible plans. Supporting stakeholders in implementing the EU policy framework for CO2 transport and storage infrastructure. The action covers market and cost structures, cross-border integration, interoperability, planning, technical harmonisation, investment incentives, third-party access, along-chain liability, regulatory authorities, tariff regulation, ownership and contracting models, and the repurposing of existing infrastructure, including links with renewable-gas infrastructure.
