Horizon Tandem PV Manufacturing Scale-Up

Funds three €9.5M innovation projects that make high-efficiency tandem PV technologies reliable and ready for large-scale European manufacturing.

ScheduledEuropean CommissionEU

Europe needs a stronger solar manufacturing base and faster routes from new photovoltaic concepts to competitive products. This scheduled Horizon Europe Innovation Action funds three €9.5 million projects to develop reliable, scalable tandem PV technologies and the industrial processes and equipment needed to manufacture them.\n\nProjects must demonstrate tandem technologies with efficiencies beyo

Develop tandem photovoltaic technologies with lifetimes comparable to silicon and efficiencies beyond the silicon limits, including interface and thin-film engineering at large scale. Demonstrate production processes and equipment ready for large-scale deployment, build competitive European manufacturing know-how, and provide a strong business case and exploitation pathway for commercialisation, scalability and deployment under the EUPI-PV Partnership.
