Projects must establish three living labs with 10–20 experimental sites in each, using co-creation, real-life settings and end-user participation. The labs should jointly develop locally adapted restoration solutions, establish monitoring tools, test effectiveness and non-deterioration, and explain the rationale for collaboration between sites and stakeholders.
