England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO) provides money to help create new woodland. It is open to landowners, land managers and public bodies.

Projects must create woodland on land entirely within England that the applicant manages for the full duration of the agreement. The woodland must meet the stated minimum area and width requirements.

EWCO supports creating new woodland. Its priorities are combating climate change by creating new woodlands that store carbon; contributing to nature recovery by creating new woodland habitat; improving water quality; reducing flood risk; providing climate change mitigation by cooling watercourses; creating woodlands that are close to people; increasing and improving recreational access in new woodland; and encouraging ammonia capture to protect sensitive sites.
