Funds two €6M projects to measure farm air pollution, improve mitigation practices and give farmers better tools for cleaner, more resilient agriculture.
Agriculture contributes to air pollution, but farmers and policy makers do not always have the data or practical tools to understand where emissions come from and which measures work. This topic funds two projects that improve farm-level monitoring and help turn evidence into workable reductions.

Improving farm-level monitoring, reporting and verification of air pollutants other than greenhouse gases, while developing and testing practical ways to reduce emissions from agriculture. Projects should improve emission factors and measurement tools, develop practices and technologies for manure, livestock feeding and grazing, fertiliser and pesticide use, and build farmer and adviser capacity through training and outreach. The multi-actor consortium must include farmers, researchers, advisors and businesses, and the work should reach TRL 4-5 by the end with FAIR data and cooperation across related projects.
