A joint EU-Ukraine capacity-building programme for cancer research: a shared training programme with distance-learning modules, plus twinning activities with staff exchanges and access to cutting-edge services, run between EU/Associated Country institutions and Ukrainian cancer centres. The programme has to cover quality-research training including clinical trials and epidemiological studies, closer integration of research with patient care with emphasis on childhood, adolescent and young-adult cancer, and improved digital capacity for patient data and cancer registries.
